If someone owes taxes to a municipal agency in Indiana, such as for state income tax or property tax or overpaid unemployment compensation, but doesn't pay the money owed, a notice is sento to them telling of the debt. If the liability is not paid or protested within sixty days of the first notice, a "Demand Notice" for payment is sent. Demand Notices include:
* A ten (10) day notice to either pay the liability or prove reasonable cause for not paying the amount demanded.
* The statutory authority of the department to issue a tax warrant.
* The earliest date on which a tax warrant may be filed and recorded.
* The ways taxpayers may prevent a lien against their property.
If a response to the Demand Notice is not received, a warrant for the collection of the tax owed is issued. The tax warrant is filed with the county clerk and becomes a judgment lien or levy against all the person's property within the county.
The sheriff may either sell property or garnish wages to collect the amount due.

In most states a "state tax warrant" is a check from the state to the taxpayer - typically some sort of refund.
You should be able to find out throught the State of Indiana web site. Do a search on Indiana and go from there.

All states have some type of tax to pay. Some have income tax, sales taxes, property tax, inheritance tax or all ot them. States that provide more services & benefits will have more taxes - my state CA has all of the taxes but in the past - many services were provided. Some states like Nevada & Washington - on the Westcoast have no income tax. A few of my former co-workers have retired to those states but the tradeoff is the cost of living and the climate adjustment. A couple moved back here after trying for a year or so but some have made the adjustment..

A tax warrant is a basically a lien against any property the person owns that will be used to pay off state income tax that person has outstanding.
It's not a warrant in a sense that you'll get thrown in jail for.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aOgVg
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.
