Well, I don't know any Scottish people personally, but the members of one of my all-time favorite bands, Belle and Sebastian, are Scottish and they all seem like talented intelligent people. Also, my parents vacationed in Scotland a couple of years ago and had only good things to say about Scotland and the people there.
I'm also aware of the difference between "British" and "Scottish" and "English" so no need to worry about too many of us Americans not knowing the difference.

All of the Scottish people I have ever known were very quick to point out that Scotland is a quite separate entity and culture from the rest of Great Britain. I have been touched by the warmth and genuineness of Scottish people and the lovely way of speaking, too.

Some good points there. I'd love to visit one day and I have known several Scots.
I think the Scottish are considered favorably. We don't know as much about you as the English or Irish, but more than we do know more about you than about the Welsh.
Strangely the Loch Ness monster, kilts, and bagpipes are what comes to mind first.

Well, I'm a bit partial since my family has Scottish and Irish roots. I think Scottish people are wonderful. Funny, smart, clever, and the men are mouth watering...(ha,ha) and that Scottish brogue!!! To die for!!

Can I answer this please - even though I'm an Aussie?
Scots are fantastic people - usually with an attractive personality, keen sense of humour and a twinkle in their eye. Famous Scots are Billy Connolly and Sean Connery. They are usually very thrifty - don't like wasting money and make the best whiskys in the world.

The ones I have met were just fine.
I would assume that they are like every where else, mostly good folk with a few contrary ones scattered about.

I guess they are ok. Never met any personally, but I'm sure they are fine, just like most other people.
