Hey,

You can right-click on yourself, select Appearance, and then use the "New" buttons on the left-hand side to create stock pieces of clothes that you can adjust length, color, and other basic attributes of.

To do some from scratch is a little harder. You need to upload a new image to "put" as a texture on the clothes you just made.

You can download clothes 'templates' online at secondlife.com. The templates have the outlines of the clothes marked on them. It's not easy to change since it is a flat picture that has to 'wrap' around a virtual 3-D body, but the templates help.

You will need a graphics program (such as Photoshop) to change this image.
