Is there a reason that you would even consider letting a child make that kind of decision?
Life is hard enough without knowing what is going on in your child's life. My children might hate me but I will know that they are safe and I can only hope that when they have children they would understand that them not being in my everyday life was never an option, because I only want the best for them.
Parenting has never been told to be easy.

Depends, do they hate living with their dad because he has rules and they have to live by them? or do they hate living with him because he is actually abusive?? if its only because they cant get away with murder with their dad, and they are thinking the fence is greener on the other side with mom, then no.. they are just throwing tantrums to get their way.. if the father is a good father.. and does all that he can for his kids, and they are just spoiled rotten by their mom.. then i say let the tantrums continue and stick it out.. but if they dont want to be there because of abuse.. then definately let them go.. a child not only needs love but they need morals, values, and Rules.. and if they hate it cause Dad is to strict.. tuff.. that just means they will run wild with their mom and get into trouble then she's going to pull her hair out when she cant control them and beg for his assistance.. if its not to late.. or when she has had enough they will get upset and say they want to go back with dad.. and use their parents as pawns to get their way..

I am a kid well a teen who is ready to get away from my parents also if that is what you mean. i wish my parents would let me leave but it also depends on the situation of your kids like age and if they have a way to live on their own in the world like a boyfriend or someone to help them like you or they're mom. i have my boyfriend so i am ready to go once my mom and dad lets me go. i am still going to college and plan wonderful life for myself if they would just let my tail go and let me off into the wilderness. well it is all in what you think is in their best interest because they have to do what you say. good luck

I work in juvenile court and our main concern is what is in the best interest of the children. If they are truly unhappy with you, yes, I would let them go no matter how much it hurt you. Your feelings are second in this. Your children are Number 1.

would u let them what?? and for the record ur their parent, it's not what they want.. u have to sit down w/them and let them know that u's have to work together to make the best of this situation and that them acting out will only make the situation worst... id reiterate my luv for them and let them know that i want to be a part of their life always and them a part of mine...

I'd sadly let them go. I'm sorry for the way they feel!

well if you love your children then you shouldnt want them to feel "sick" (however anology you meant) and so you should let them do their thing until they come running back to you.
