I don't think they are allowed to accept tips. They probably work on commission. Get your make up done and then purchase a product that you like.

The MAC counter here charges $40 to get your make up done. Either that or you have to buy $40 worth of their products. It does not take a genius to figure out which is the better deal. So I don't tip them, I buy $40 worth of their junk.

15%....give them $5 or so

Give them what you would want to get if you were providing a service.
Imagine waitressing a table...and you work your *** off for the people and you smile and your kind and you give them everything that they wanted and more. Then they tip you a dollar..Imagine what that is like. You will remember to tip well then.

It is customary when tipping a person to double the tax and thats one way of figuring it out. Another way would just leaving around 10% of the total to them.

30% for waitstaff when I'm out to eat, up to 100% if I'm out drinking at the Hong Kong! Once we tipped 150% cuz we kinda made a mess.

that's what they are there for--- making people look good --- tip 10 to 15 per cent of the bill charge, if the work and their professional manner left you feeling pampered and beautiful.

The standard rule is fifteen percent. Ten percent for a decent job, but not great, twenty percent for a spectacular job.
