We did an exercise at a seminar a couple of weeks ago. We were put into groups of 6 to 8. Every one had a "condition": blindness, mute, or paralyzed. Each group had a jigsaw puzzle to put together. I was blind. I could hear what was going on, but felt confused. I didn't know when the directions from the paralyzed people were for me, or for another blind person. I think I would rather be deaf. I would still be able to see and feel what was going on around me.

I think deaf would be better than blind. I actually have come to appreciate good vision more this past year as I have had lots of trouble with mine. I have a condition called corneal dystrophy and have had corneal transplants in both eyes. The right eye is great, almost perfect vision, but the left eye is not doing good at all. I think I could deal much better with not hearing than not seeing.

I would rather be deaf. I couldn't live without seeing my son growing up and becoming a man.

Deaf, because then I could still see people around me talking to me. You could always learn to sign or read lips for communication. I'd hate to not be able to see anything!

it is a hard choice, because when one since goes all the others get stronger, I would have to say tast, I could still hear, see and touch my family well that dont sound good but I think you get the point. Yes I could eat dog crap and not be the wiser, but I would be able to to at least enjoy my family and have fun... But if I had to pick one of your choices I would have to say blind I gues.
