Mrs_Nice suggests:

Marriages are not ending in the world.

What is ending in the values that people put on marriage and especially the marriage vows.

All too often we see people who rush into marriage, marrying after knowing each other only a few months and without knowing their spouse's background or history.

People marry confusing love for infatuation. And then forget the part of the vows that say "for better or worse".

Marriage is hard work. Good marriages are not a "match made in heaven" but a result of hard work and commitment.

Without the commitment to make the marriage work when it's not so good, rushing to the lawyer to file for divorce at the first sign of trouble, the a marriage is doomed.

Someone told Mrs Nice one time "I was married almost 50 years and what made it work was learning to put up with a lot of bunk and learning to keep your mouth shut".

Sincerely,

Mrs Nice

No, I dont think that marriages will stop altogether. I'm not married but I dont see myself married because I feel like there is nothing out there for me. To me most people take relationships/marriages as jokes and I know numerous people who arent with there current husbands. The only people who want to get married for real is gays.

Personally no. For every divorced couple out there, there will still be a couple who holds the same values about marriage and pass that same values on to their children.
