Your friend no longer has the "heart of gold" that you described him as having. People with a "heart of gold" do not go around cheating others of their money.

Friendship is about trust. He has betrayed that trust.

However, although friendship is also about tolerance and accepting others as they are, I'll send him packing. True friends do not cheat each other of money. They value the relationship far more highly than a couple of bucks! The fact that he is willing to mess up your friendship for money says a lot about how he values your friendship.

People with big hearts aren't liars.

This guy will never pay you back on your own. I know exactly his type, I have dealt with them.

When you are away from him for a while you will realize how bad he is for you to be around. You don't realize how damaging it can be to hang around this person.

Don't ever loan him more money. Even if he says he will be able to pay it back and the rest. You are better off losing your few thousand and cutting your losses. If this guy ever paid people back, he would pay you back the first time.

First. if you knew he doesn't know the meaning of the word truth, why on earth did you loan him money? Second, suing somebody to get back what's yours does not make you the bad guy. And third, get as far from the character as you can. He's already proved that he will use you like a roll of toilet paper.

If you knew the deals didn't exist, why did you give him money in the first place? Keep him as a friend if you like being used.

does his family still believe him after all his lies? I wouldnt. Once you sue him he probably wont want to be your friend. No sense in having a person that you cant trust as a friend, is there?

Sounds like he never got enough attention as a child if he thinks he needs to lie to make friends. I had a friend like that once, too. You need to tell him the truth, that you know he's full of crap and you need your money. Now.

I think you already know the answer!!! Who needs a "friend" like that, with all the other sharks swimming in the world! You don't look like the bad guy, you come across to me as very intelligent!

If it comes to the point where you have to sue this so called "friend" you need to sort out your friend priorities. Help him out if you can, but please find some new friends. You dont want to be sucked into any more of his lies.

Being a close friend to you is his con. Now he's got your money. Do you really need to question whether or not to be friends with him?

Leave him at the curb. Friends do not lie, cheat and steal from each other. He is a con-artist, let a liar lie.
