When I start wishing they were in the daily comics, I just go to my collection of every Calvin and Hobbes book made and have a read...they were the best!

Awww ... Calvin and Hobbes were indeed the bestest comics ever! One of my fave was when Calvin climbed out of his bedroom window in the middle of the night, walked to the payphone down the street, and called home to ask his dad if he knew where his son was! What kid does that!? It was really sad that it ended, but I suppose that sometimes, it's just time to move on and do other things with your life ...

My screen saver is a collection of all the Calvin and Hobbes images I have from websites over the years. My favorite pic is when Calvin is holding Hobbes after he got "lost" and he looks so sad and wearing. The best, the absolute best. :)

I miss it. I read a little recently about Bill Watterson. Wherever it is he lives, the people of the rather small town "hide" him. If they get wind that anyone is looking to interview him, they make sure whoever it is doesn't find him. He said / says that he "wants to be left alone". I read somewhere that he got out of Calvin and Hobbes what he wanted, and wanted to get on with his life.
I wish he would reconsider, though. There was a simple honesty to C&H that I haven't seen since Schulz.

I was just missing them yesterday...I really liked them...the best part was that everybody liked them...and you could share them with people and also share a laugh.Like " hey did you see today's Calvin and Hobbes?" Everybody used to like garfield too. now there is no great comic strip that everybody likes...most of them are badley drawn and have obscure plots and punchlines.
Very much the best comic ever.

I do! I do! I miss them like crazy! And I hope that Bill Watterson is doing well, wherever he is, because he is so imaginative, and if his childhood was anything like Calvin's I wish him all the hapiness he can find!

i loved them, i have all of the books (not the anthologies, since i have the single books). i heard waterson was tired of churning out comics for the newspapers because they put so many restrictions on him, like they had to be a certain number of panels and such. for creative reasons he quit. but i hope he makes another book.
