Ok, here is my question. My best friend loves tube tops. She is dying to wear one. The problem is that while she isn't fat, she has a large chest (38D). Now, I would love to buy her a really cute tube top for her birthday but I need to know what I should bye her to wear underneath because she is definitely too large to go without some type of suppourt. Or, should a women with a large chest just forget the 'tube top' dream?? lol...thanks!

Go to Lane Bryant and buy a fabulous strapless bra designed for curvy gals! They even have one that snaps on the side, so there's not a lump in the middle of the wearer's back!

Oh no. Tube tops are meant for girls with smaller chests...period. Some girls with C cups are pushing it when they wear them.
She's just not going to look cute in a tube top... And if you get her a minimizer bra...you're going to have a hard time finding a strapless one in that size....not to mention the lack of support she's going to have which will draw negative unwanted attention to her.
If she absolutely must wear a tube top, get her one without horizontal stripes. Get her a minimizer bra and a shrug to wear with the tube top...that way she can have support and still wear a tube top...granted the shrug will cover her shoulders and part of her upper back....but she'll still feel cute and stylish.

As long as she has a good support bra the tube top is fine, but if she wants to go without the bra, bad call. She will only cause herself to look trashy in it. Like a street corner girl look for a hook up. If your going to buy her a good support bra then try places like Lane Bryant or Fredefricks of Hollywood they usually carry larger sizes that will help support. But be expected to pay the cost, bras that size aren't cheap. The could cost start at 30 bucks and go up.

I am in the same boat as your friend. There is nothing she can do to look good in a tube top, bra straps are tacky, strapless bras are a joke when you have big boobs, and no support is just sick. Dont let her wear a tube top!!!!!!!!!

Tube tops on large breasted girls looks trashy. They only look cute on C cups and under. She can use a strapless bra but these don't usually offer enough support for larger breasts. There are plenty of other types of cute tops your friend can wear. She needs so forget her tube top dream unless she wants to get a breast reduction or something.

a surportive strappless bra to hold them in place so they do not bounce all over the place and work the tube top down
I have see my neice she is double D and she is 19 years old she bought a tube top she put it on and came into my computer room all excited jumping up and down cause it was the last top the store had in her size and she got it. I am a 43 year ond guy (her uncle) so she is jumping up and down her breast bouncing too and yup! it worked down LOL I quickly closed my eyes and spon the chair around to the wall she darted into the bath room so yea a strappless bra will help

i TOTALLY agree with 'ghettochildamj'!! but well, i guess even with the minimizer bra, the tube top thing might still look tacky. i suggest you get her a form-fitting denim jacket or a cropped cardigan sweater to wear with it. hope she likes it =]!
