I am 16, diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, which causes high insulin, I have had a severe migrane for the past 2 hours, neck pain, nausea, dizziness, and mild shakiness... Is there any thing I can do to help myself, my mom is at work and I don't want to bother her.... PLEASE HELP!

61 is NOT extremely low. It's low...but not dangerously low.

If your'e feeling shaky and dizzy...drink some juice followed by a snack with protein (cheese, peanut butter, egg, etc...). The juice will immediately raise your blood sugar level and the protein will sustain it so it doesn't drop again.

Retest your glucose in about 15 minutes after you try the above. If it's still low, put a call in to your doctor.

I have low blood sugar because I am borderline diabetic. You need to drink some orange juice and put a teaspoon of sugar in it, if you don't have juice put sugar in water and drink it. You need to get the glucose tubes and tablets to keep with you.

After you drink the juice or water you need to eat something with protein in it to keep your insulin levels from raising high again

If you do not feel better lets say in 10 minutes you need to call the paramedics.

It is a little low, but not dangerously so. In addition to some rapid sugar source, you probably should intake some complex carbs to even it out and not have it happen again. My mom is diabetic, so we have a glucometer. Sometimes just for fun, I will run mine or my husbands, particularly when we feel hungry. Mine is typically in the 70s but his is usually in the low 60s and neither of us is diabetic.

Drink some orange or apple juice. Have some hard candy. If you feel like you may pass out, do not have the hard candy.

If you feel like you may pass out, call for an ambulance. They can help you.
