Does anyone know of a good beach in or near Annapolis, MD? I am driving there with my children in a few weeks. They are anxious to be near the shore, but I don't want to drive much futher to get to the beach. THANKS.

Sandy Point State Park is not far from Annapolis... it's the Chesapeake not the ocean but it's really nice. We used to go there a lot when I was a kid. It's still a couple hours at least to the actual Atlantic beaches (Rehoboth, Bethany or Dewey in Delaware, Ocean City MD are the closest Atlantic beaches). But Sandy Point is really nice.

Not really any in Annapolis proper. I suggest taking a side trip to Dewey or Ocean City or Rehobeth.

uh no, sorry but i wouldnt go to sandy point beach.,.... there were dead fish in the water... lol yep. its on the bay. i mean the beach is nice yeah and setting being on the cheaspeake or watever and the kazillion boats off in the distance. but gah.. dont go swimming. go to the places other ppl were saying
