Do they provide a tester motorcycle when you take the test?

Contact your local ABATE program. They offer motorcycle rider safety classes. The beginner class furnishes the bike and when yyou pass the class, you can take the certificate to the Drivers License office and receive your license. In my area the class costs about $200.00. You will also get a discount on your motorcycle insurance as well as being a much better and safer rider.

It depends. The test I took was through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and they provided the bikes. Harley dealers have a similar program called Rider's Edge. These programs cost several hundred dollars - at least in Georgia. For that money, you'll get two days of riding practice in a safe environment with an instructor or two to explain everything.
This is not the only way to get a license in my state. The other option is to take a paper test to get a learner's permit, get the bike, then show up for a driving test that costs somewhere around $20 or so. You have to bring a bike for this test, but it could be borrowed. I don't recommend this route - you learn a lot more with an instructor.

No it doesn't need to be your bike. The easiest bikes to pass the test with are usually under 350cc. The hardest part of the test for most new riders is where you have to stay between the lines of the donut. Do not use your front brake during the donut part of the test just drag your back brake. Go to the DMV where you live and practice with the bike you are going to use. Always wear a full face helmet and take the beginning, intermediate, and advanced Motorcycle Safety Foundation courses. The knowledge from these courses will save your life. I rode over 350,000 miles on several different types of bikes over 13 years without ever owning a car. Do not buy a sportbike for your first bike. Start off with an enduro. Enduro's are a hell of a lot of fun to ride anyway. Hope this answers your question.

No they will not supply a bike to take the test.
BUT.., you don't have to take the test on a manual trans motorcycle either.
Try and find a scooter to take the test with. The Elite 80/125 or Vino 125 is licensed as a motorcycle in most states and has a short wheel base making it very maneuverable and easy to operate. Plus, a scooter is a lot less likely to stall out on the test. Good Luck and Ride Safe

no, you must bring a bike with you and you can not drive it to the test someone had to lend you a motorcycle. To avoid this take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course and they will provide you with the test and the bike.

i took the Motorcycle Safety School course and it was REALLY helpful. i highly recommend it. go to few motorcycle dealers in your area and i am sure that they will recommend at least one. this is a good time of year to buy a bike - esp a used one. and consider using helmet - even if only for the first two years.

at most Harley Davidson dealers in the US they have a course taught by the AMA and endorsed by H>D> in which you can USE under there controls motorcycles and the insurance is provided etc. this usually cost about $250.00 all you have to do is show up sober with a learners permit and pay attention.

no, but to take the test you must ride a motorcycle through a driving course to show your abilties to ride, in some states you can get a temporary permit, allowing you to learn to ride.
