cant get lower ball joint out of knuckle,
trying to change wheel bearing. any pointers ?thanks

You have removed the cotter pin and nut. The ball has a tapered fit and Knuckle needs to be struck on the side of the knuckle near the ball joint sharply I use a 3lb hammer and long screwdriver or prybar to push down on the lower control arm ball joint assembly. A couple of good hits is all it takes the taper falls out of the knuckle. Hitting *** down on the threaded part of the ball joint mushrooms the threads and you will never get the nut back on hope you haven't done that yet!
