Best to ask your doctor. You will get mixed answers on here about that.

For me I was diagnosed GD and only allowed diet soda, can't drink regular. Aspartame is in diet soda, but that is fine in pregnancy, unlike saccharain which is Sweet-N-Low. I can also have Splenda.

You can have caffeine in pregnancy, just in moderation. They suggest no more than 2 cups of coffee a day.

As I said ask your doctor to know for sure what they suggest for you, they know how your pregnancy is going, we don't.

I would suggest regular caffeine free coke, the diet is still under study. My doctor said that I could have no more than 1 can (12 oz) of caffeine daily...water is going to be the best thing you can drink during pregnancy. Also, orange juice because of the folate in it.

Yes, I would say its ok to drink coffeine in moderation. I'm currently 39 weeks pregnant and did some research when I wanted to start. I started only after 16 weeks or so, and when I drank cofee I made sure I mixed it with real milk (half and half, or whole milk) which is better for the baby. Also on the days when you drink cofee make sure you drink plenty of water. Good luck!

The current medical consensus is that a moderate amount of caffeine each day is not harmful to your baby.

HOWEVER, that always comes with the disclaimer that caffeine is a diuretic, and you need to drink a glass of water for every serving of caffeine you have to avoid dehydration, which is known to be a factor in pre-term labor.

Easy on the caffeine. Most OB's would reccomend no. Decaf I don't see anything wrong with that. Make sure you drink plenty of water and low on salt intake. This will help prevent swelling later on. Otherwise, I would just ask your OB. Mine says no, and I'm about 15 weeks. Good luck!

they say not to drink too much caffine when pregnant you can of course just don't over do it (people do a heck of a lot worse when pregnant) i still drink regular soft drinks and once in a while i'll have a little coffee (im not a big coffee fan) a few weeks ago i was on a pepsi kick all i craved was pepsi for like 2 weeks straight! i know they say you crave what your body needs when your pregnant but i don't know of anything in pepsi that could possibly be healthy or needed anyways like i said don't over do it if caffine free tastes okay then go for it but don't do the diet drinks thing they tend to have alot more sugar what they're lacking in fat theyre killing with sugar and sugar is definitely something you don' t need when pregnant you'll start packing on the pounds quick especially if craving it like i was.

I drank coffee and coke while pregnant. Your doctor will let you know if it is affecting your baby. I was told at the end of my pregnancy last time that I should limit to 2 caffienated drinks per day. But it is up to you and your doctor.

I stayed away from all caffeine and I LOVE iced tea but if I had some Id want a whole lot more so I just gave it all up even chocolate all together. Caffeine free is okay but my doctor still said to not have to much.

I would consult your health care provider. He/she will tell you if you can or not. Some doctors will tell you okay... other's will tell you not to touch anything with caffeine in it. Most people don't know this... but too much caffeine will increase your chances of having a miscarriage. It is okay to drink caffeine a little bit from time-to-time... just as long as you don't drink it too often. Talk to your doctor first though. Hope this helps!!

Well yes and no you see caffine makes the babys heart beat faster than it allready his (see the babys heart beat is allready fast, by adding caffine will make it go faster!) and you should seriously limit the caffine intake to only one caffine drink aday. They decaf coffe, and coke and those are better choices, because I remember when I went to get my babys 1st heart beat and I drank like 2 cokes it was beating faster than a race horse and I got growled out (grrrrr....:0) by my ob/gyn! so keep to a limit of 1 aday or none. Good luck! :o)
