He will be fired even if he does better than last year. Remember he lost 5 games last year. That is horrible for a "big time" program to do. Even if he goes 9-3 he will have to do two of three things ( Beat Ohio State, Beat Notre Dame, Win a BCS Bowl Game). Even if he accomplishes 1 of those(which I don't think he will) it won't be enough. Fans and alumni in Ann Arbor won't stand losing 3 straight years of bowl games, or to Ohio State, or to Notre Dame.

They should never have fired Gary Moeller. Under Carr Michigan has been classic underacheivers.
