Considering the poor form of Shevag in one day matches in the recentg past and also to have solidity at the top, Dravid and Tendulkar make a good opening combination than Tendulkar and Shevag

good question
well the b etter combination is still a mysterious adventure for the indian selctors.

first of all, dravid n tendulkar can be great. dravid is defensive and is good in playing shots (remembr 105 off 102 agnst west indies) and also defensive which can be responsibl for singls. but dravd has problms facin fst bowlerz with hard ball. you must also let shwag early so he can add to the run/rate or else it trbles him whn he fces the spnners.

sehwag n tendulkar will sur work as b oth are explosiv e in nature (in cricketing-nature) and dravid hits mtch-winnin' knocks which can be useful in the lower-ordr.

this should be the line-up [odis]
sehwag, tendulkar, yuvraj, dravid, kaif, dhoni, pathan, harbhajan, agarkar, powar, sreesanth,

no, sehwag and tendulkar are better players of pace than dravid. dravid plays spin extremely well, so he can bat at no. 3 or 4

No

I say this because there is very less exprience in the middle order and Rahul should understand that his being in the fourth position is very much important so as o give experience in the middle order and divide the experience equally at every part of batting line up.

According to me under ideal condition the first 6 Batting line up should be
Virendra Sehwag
Sachin Tendulkar
Mahendra Singh Dhoni/Yuvraj Singh(Depending upon the wicket falling over i.e. of wichet falls b/w overs 1-10 then M.S.Dhoni should be preffered)
Rahul Dravid
Yuvraj Singh/Mahendra Singh Dhoni(Depending upon 1st down bats man's decision)
Suresh Raina

i would personally open with Sachin and sehwag, dravid is for me,one of the best and tecnically correct Batsman you could find around the business today.very consistant and dependable batsman for any occasion in the longer version of the game,One day cricket is all together a different bowl of soup, sehwag and Sachin will fit into that slot very well.

Dravid is opening because he wants to thwart comeback trail of Saurav Ganguly. He is not an ideal opener. Sachin is good but in his recent form, it is difficult for him....Sehwag is o.k but very inconsistent.
