Just out of curiosity......the ultrasound tech didn't mention anything about my amniotic fluid levels. Do they always look at that and not say anything unless there's something that looks wrong? My ultrasound was about 13mins long, so I think she saw everything she was supposed to. Is it obvious if there's something wrong in there?

My Ob and the ultrasound tech never mentioned anything about levels and I also asked. She said that they check each time but only mention it if there is a problem. They can check for just about everything at the 20 week ultrasound-they should have checked the spine, brain, organs and possibly the sex. I'm sure everything is fine because these days, they tell you the second they only suspect something. Good luck!

the tech cannot give you a diagnoses, it is all based on "I think" but it doesn't mean they are right. Wait until your next doctors visit to find out. Don't stress about it, it's not good for you or your baby. And if there is something that is wrong, just listen to the doctors instructions and do what the doctor says.

Generally the ultrasound tech won't tell you anything except maybe the sex of the baby, they just do their thing and get the report to your ob/gyn. If she was concerned, then she would recommend that your dr call you immediately. I would not worry too much if she didn't seem to show any concern.

First of all techs are not allowed to diagnose or tell you if they think something is wrong, only the Dr can do that. Second, if your Dr didn't call you immediately and tell you to come in, stop worrying and enjoy this time. Good Luck.

If there was anything out the the ordinary, your OB will call you a few days after the test. The techs are not really allowed to tell you much.

If there was any problem with your ultrasound at all, the technician would have called a doctor in to talk with you right away. I am sure everything is fine. Congratulations!
