Celebrities use their wealth and not their knowledge when they run for office. They are already popular and rich so they know they can get votes and become even more popular. Not a single celebrity politician is any good and in the future they should not be considered for politics as they do not know what it is like to have to make a life as a citizen they will represent. If they know nothing of what it is like to be middle/lower class, how could they possibly represent everyone? They couldn't. Mel Gibson, while popular and rich, simply is not cut out for office. He would get a lot of votes, but he has no track record and no political experience. But hey, maybe that is what this country needs. A complete 180 from the normal presidents.

I am inclined to be very much against the idea. I think that Americans put too much stock into the opinion of celebs. Often, the average person knows more than they do about the issues. His incident a couple weeks ago would not affect my vote. He was drunk. Drunk people say and do stupid things, and he has apologized.
However, I would listen to the man with an open mind, especially considering how well the Govenator has done in California. If I agree with his ideas, I would vote for him, but most likely I won't.

Mel's an anti-semi, (as we all know now), this would go really hard against him in elections, he would lose debates when this topic came up.....and do u really want a president who you already know is racists? Plus, celebritities make the worst of presidents, or anytype of office runner.........i know! i live in california
