Well my friend its a symbol of status. Heres how it goes poorer people cannot afford such items like Gucci or Prada so they have to settle for less and buy based on style, while on the other hand a middle class person might have more money to shell out on Chanel or Dior therefore they'll buy it to confirm their status and make it known. Now while all of this is going on some famous person (lets take Paris Hilton for example) doesnt need to buy expensive items to prove their status(although most of them do..) Stupid?Crazy? I know, not only that but some people are convince that the more expensive the item the better quality it is...now I dont think thats true because take a cheap Juicy shirt for example, lets face it you can buy something at walmart that looks just about the same. However Juicy isnt all that bad its a matter of preferance.

because ppl need another way to feel good about themselves. if you walk down the street ppl will not say wow what a kind, compassionate person. But they will say wow what a well dressed good looking person
