The USA goes to third world countries and offers loans that will pay for industrialization. But that's a problem for the third world countries. How do they pay back the loans they've gotten? The only way they can is through military and political support to the USA, as well as giving them there resources, such as oil. That's why were in Iraq. It's called globalization.

You are not understanding the situation...it is not urbanization but a flocking of the natives to an area with the expectation of an improved life. This has happened in Australia, Canada and to the US. People think that they will get a good job and prosper but the jobs are not always there and then with their improverished state, the people live in ghettos or barrios and are no better than before. I live in China and as affluency increases, there is a true demand to decentralize from the city...but in poor economies, there is centralization.

nothing causes it. it doesn't happen. poor countries stay poor. Cities aren't built by dirt farmers and grub suckers.
