This is a serious question, as i heavily suspect that americans, particularly the young, are the sad results of an increasingly warped nation with an imperialistic war mongering government, a school system that teaches kids to bully and exclude, a deep love of a grotesquely shallow trash culture, generally a nation and a people that have become so used to being "the best" (and believe me i use the term as loosely as possible) that they have completely forgotten the rules of common decency, manners, respect and humanity. Look at how many serial killers America has produced........ I mean, lets be fair, if you guys had treated them a little better in school then they probably wouldnt have turned out the way they did. You could call this a sociological question or a racist rant ( im british, and i thank my lucky stars i wasnt born on the scummy side of the pond). I dont particularly care how you see it cos i wont be coming to this site again. Too many yanks.

ok, i probably just lost my head a bit there. I dont mean all americans, just the minority i've met on the web who i've found to be sarcastic and insensitive. And yes, that was a bit of a slur.

I will agree that many young americans are cruel and shallow, although I would come up with a different reasoning. Americans don't cop an attitude because we think we are the biggest and best - well maybe some people do, but they aren't the majority - I think the major problem is really consumerism. Americans want to give their children everything and therefor are going into debt, working long hours, and not spending time to teach their children what it means to work for something to appreciate it, let alone manners and couth.

This is just my opinion from what I've observed in my neighborhoods and such. But, I must also defend my country here.

You don't have to be a fan of the USA, but I wouldn't be quick to judge. Your culture is having many of the same problems, but you must look at it this way: The USA is so much larger than great britian, of course we are going to have more serial killers, we have more people. I've also heard news reports about british teens having the same problems, such as a lack of manners and respect for their elders. So i wouldn't say its specifically an american problem.

Your question is inflammatory, rude, generalizing, and highly uninformed. It also seems to be a slur even though you suggest that this is a serious question.

Okay. Let's be fair. You're British, not born on the scummy side of the pond, & you say you're not coming here again. So, you probably won't be reading any of the answers because you also appear to be closed-minded and snobbish.

My best friend is British & I'm American. Get over yourself & your bigotry. Hate isn't the answer.

Spilling water on a printer or fax isnt the problem. If those contraptions are plugged into the grid (ie an electric powered plug on your wall), then the water might want to produce a bridge between that electric powered outlet and your self. this may require you to communicate with the water, or some conductive area (which includes a metal table or metal case), besides as that to communicate with the stay electric powered elements or power plug. Its not likely, exceptionally with a printer or fax which has a plastic case, inspite of the undeniable fact that it truly is a possibility. cutting-aspect houses, and electric powered equipment have quite a number of safeguards (fuses, protection switches, earth leakage detection, yet they wont completely ward off electrocution. The water might want to also produce an electric powered bridge in the device itself which could reason harm even as the device is plugged in/grew to grow to be on. The water might want to likely bring about corrosion, which could lead on to interrupt to the device. even as not likely, harm executed to the device might want to probably bring about hearth negative aspects. suited to play it threat-free and save beverages separate out of your electric powered contraptions. in the adventure that they arrive into contact, use your immediately ahead sense and let the device to empty / dry.

Unfortunately, you are correct about many Americans, not just the young.

Much of this is because of the Christo-Fascist agenda set forth by many of our churches and leaders.

In my world travels I have seen the "ugly American" far too many times.
