my husband was supposed to be out of town for the night with the kids..now he is coming home...I really wanted to have a party..and sleep in tomorrow

it is not that I do not want to hang out with my husband..I was excited to be able to be loud..with no kids in the house.

Hire a sitter. Take out your hubby. Go dancing. Get drunk. Have fun. Change your plans, don't scrap 'em!

I'm so sorry, but having my husband around to have time to be with is like a good thing, every second is good. I don't have kids yet, but I know I'd give up anyone and anything to hang out with the family.
In your question, you wrote "ruined", it sounded kind of hostile! You also said "party", that means something a little wild.
I agree with below, hire a sitter, or if it was supposed to be a lady's night, maybe he'll understand and you can go out.
