Thank you for the great answers. I was exposed at my office and yes--I almost died. It is very hard to find a doctor in my area that knows anything about mold/fungus infection. If any of you knows a good doctor for this, please give me names, address, or phone #s.

my friend kept getting sick and his ear kept bleeding and the doctors couldn't figure out why, so he saw he had a leak in his bathroom and when the people came to fix it they had to rip out the wall and there was mold so he went back to the doctor and it his ear was bleeding from the mold

Yes first two answers....grow up and and don't procreate. Black mold is bad....put it this way...if found in a doctor's office could shut that office down. If you are on a limited budget see if there is some help you can get from government. Run the fan for 10 mins after bathing or showing....there are some really good mold killers out there that are green....just look around....lot's of luck

I'm a mold remediation contractor with a vast amount of experience re-mediating mold issues primarily after hurricane losses.

I always advise homeowners to dispose of any cloth furniture i.e. sofa's, chairs and the like. Your clothes can generally be sanitized and washed. Furniture with hard surfaces such as laminates, sealed hardwood finishes and metal can be cleaned and disinfected with anti-microbial agents.

As far as your personal exposure... if your experiencing any constant headaches, blurred vision, respiratory problems you should talk to your doctor.

Because of our constant exposure I always have individual bottles of Sino-Fresh nasal spray on hand. Walgreen's usually stocks it for about $15.00 a bottle...a little pricey but it really works.

P.S. Always wear a respirator and if you have substantial mold build up I recommend a tyvek suite. Hope this helps.

well its great to call a doctor, or visit one, usually at drugstores the sell dffernt types of medicine for mold and fungus removenation, but if your having doubt about anything talk to you parents and set up an appointment with the doc he knows best when it comes to that stuff!!

you need to ask a family physician ( doctor) and ask him for a check up.
He/she may prescribe a medication that will fight fungal infections.
It is important to note regular antibiotics that are used to fight bacterial diseases such as Strep Throat are not effective in treating fungal infections.
So go talk to your doctor first and explain your situation clearly.
