He'll definitely never play again.
I can actually see him as a coach down the road, although I'm not sure he would want to do that. I have a feeling he likes the studio analyst role. And I can see him getting fed up trying to deal with a bunch of whiny young players, who only care about their own stats and their own salaries...
There are a whole lot of things Pippen could teach young players about, but most of them wouldn't listen (especially since the majority of his players would be making more than he would be as an unproven coach). And it won't be too long before the players in the NBA have no idea who Scottie Pippen was! Most players in the NBA don't know, and couldn't care less, about the league's history, and the players that came before them that helped make the NBA what it is.
Around 1974, Bill Russell became the head coach of the Seattle Supersonics... the greatest winner in the history of ANY sport, and he'd only been retired for five years... his players couldn't have cared less about his theories of winning and losing... and today's players are even more self-centered...and again, why should they listen to an unproven coach, especially since they're making more money than he is!

I don't think so. Scottie is a decent all around player but he was obviosly not a student of the game, and if he were on any other team besides my precious bulls, he would not have flourished.
Unfortunetly he was above average at best.

Hopefully not. He was a great player but couldn't do it at this point in his life. I don't think he has that great of a basketball IQ, at least not enough to coach based on the stupid comments he makes as an "analyst".
I mean, has he ever said anything that wasn't completely obvious? I am convinced I could do better.

Scottie is about 117 years old, and he couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag... with scissors in his hand.
Without Jordan, nobody would no his name.

i don't believe of there's a 'Jordan bandwagon' in view that he retired numerous years in the past. I disagree that he did not have competition. Jordan all started getting interest contained in the mid to late 80s even as he became going up hostile to 2 of the great, experienced and smart gamers of all time - Magic and chicken. The 90s observed countless the great huge men to go back round - Olajuwon, Robinson, Shaq, Ewing, Malone etc. those bigs weren't sufficient to contain Jordan even as he drove to the basket. Jordan also performed hostile to countless the great protecting guards - TR Dun, Michael Cooper, Alvin Robertson, Gary Payton and John Stockton. He ruled all of them. it really is actual that if we choose through stats on my own, Wilt would were extra constructive, yet greatness is not purely about stats. it really is a blend of stats, skills, administration and success. Jordan excelled in those. there's a rationalization why maximum activities reporters examine with him because the great. because he's.

well he has briefly done a coaching stint as a special assistant coach for the lakers a year ago, to teach lamar odom how to run the point forward mechanism in phil jackson's triangle offense.........other than that, i know for sure he wouldn't try to play again, but dont know if he'll ever try to coach, but he's doing a decent job being an nba analyst for abc/espn.......so i don't see him leaving that anytime soon

He might coach. No harm when I say this though, he should (needs to) learn proper subject and verbal agreement.
