We are very intelligent and responsible, but lets face it....we don't exactly have the "new york" stare down pat. I've been to Italy before but I was with alot of family and me and my friend are going to be living there for a year next summer....any advice? thanks!

learn the language (Italian is easy because it is a Latin based language like Spanish and French) and stay away from the men - they pinch!!!
when in a foreign country keep your mouth shut and your eyes open. don't make eye contact unless you need help or want a man real bad. keep money hidden on you where no one can find it. a gentle rub against you in a crowd and pow- there goes your bucks.
you can have fun and eat in small pub kinda restaurants (unless you have $$$ to burn). best food and best prices.
everyone will know you are not a local. speaking some of the language will cause a respect that will guarantee a wonderful time. Have a great time and sent lots of post cards back home.

hahahahah JEALOUS! i hope you have fun..... lol you will get in to trouble..especially if you have a hair color other than black. heheheh cause i sure did. lol and tHEY WILL follow you if you keep the cat and mouse game going on. lol italian men love cat and mouse, its all a game pretty much. if you were lying on a beach and he was yelling at you and if you asked him to come over or watever, im ALMOST positive that he wouldnt, cause that would mean the game is over. anyways random explanation, rome is my fav city, lots of hustle and bustle, beautiful things to see ( spanish steps, vatican, collisium, the roman floor or watever......dolce and gabbana, armani, fendi..lol etc etc!!) beautiful people to watch, even the woman, they;re really are very beautiful, and i love it how they are so strong with the men, while im all puppy dog eyes when ever a hottie walked by me and winked or talked to me. muahahahha memories.... also LOTS OF EXCELLENT food, italian food rocks, you'll do great.... just dont let your knees give in EVERY time a guy talks to you or whistles....... but i gotta tell yah italians know how to kiss and please a lady..... hello carlo!!!!!!!!!!! if your on here! hahah from florence :D :D your were awesome ........the end....

Once you put your mind to something, you can move mountains. You said that you are intelligent and responsible. That is all you need to be. Just keep focused and you'll make it. You don't have to have the "New York" stare. Just be yourself and everything will work out. As I stated before, once you put your mind to something, you can move mountains. Perseverance conquers everything. Go for it.

If Italians can make it here, you can make it in Rome. have fun and enjoy it. You may never get the chance to do this again.
