compatible colors??

Question

i am an aspiring fashion designer and i want to know what colors match and are compatible with each other
(maybe you can tell me how to use the color wheel? such as is it good with the color next to it or across from it?)
i really need to know because i want to do some sketching right now....

contrast and harmonic is the key.

use nearby color to get harmonic combination example blue and green. usefull in creating one type of condition. example : blue + green = cool. red + orange = hot

use opposite color to get contrast combination. example red and blue. usefull if you want to make and object eye catching. for example a blue clothes with unique red buttons.

When using the color wheel you can use the colors on either side of a color, directly across the wheel, or make a triangle to form compatible matches. An example of the first is Blue, blue purple, and blue Green. An example of the second is Blue and orange. And for the third an example is the primary colors.

I find the Autumn colors are really easy to work with. the browns, bronzes, reddish browns, Burgundy's, golden oranges.

pink goes with purple and blue sometimes..but blue goes with green and purple. orange goes with purple. umm...well i hope that helped
