The entertainment! Music, movies, actual videos on MTV, cartoons and the video games.
Everything seemed so rich and colorful. No fake reality TV, the songs were simple, the movies were things we could relate to. I remember the video games were getting more varied and complex (remember Pong? ugh) Good stuff...

I have to agree w/ everyone else, the music was the best EVER, where did the hair bands go? I still go see poison, Def Leppard, Van Halen. I'm stuck

The music -- I loved the hair bands. I also loved the styles...poufy, feathered hair, leggings with puffy socks, high tops. Ah, those were the good old days...
