What hamster species would be best for a younger teenager to own?

There are two breeds of hamster that I really like and find to be quite gentle. I really like black bear hamsters. I have never been bitten by one of these guys, and they are a bigger breed so are much easier to handle. I also like Chinese dwarf hamsters because they too are very gentle. They are small and can sometimes be a bit harder to handle because of that. Gerbils are also extremely friendly and, unlike hamsters, you can have two together, so long as you get them together. People may tell you this about hamsters as well, but hamsters are not community critters like gerbils are.

Hampsters probably aren't the best pet for them because they have to take really good care of them. they have to clean their cage like twice a week. but if you really want one, i like dwarf hampsters a lot.
