Emerson has a very lovely lilt to it. I Think it would be great for a girl.
The best of all is Emerson Marie. The sounds go together well and since Emerson is a bit unusual , it would be a good idea to have a more common middle name to even it out. The hard C in Carina does not sound pretty with Emerson. Emerson Love is way strange sounding and looking. I hope you and Emerson Marie have a lovely lifetime together.

Actually, I recently thought about the name Emerson for a girl. I think Emerson Marie sounds very pretty!! It's different, yet not too out of the ordinary.

I don't really like it for the reason that they seem to bleed into each other too much, especially the letter " E ".
Emerson is a boy's name but I guess a girl could get away with it. But trust me on this, your precious little girl would be teased incessantly when she goes to school. And they still do that today, big time, despite the fact that we live in a unisex generation.
Marie is nice, it's of French origin and it's also a form of Mary. Mary comes of the Middle Ages Latin origin and it has a beautiful meaning, " Star of the Sea".
I moderate a yahoo group site that is specifically all about baby names and issues related to babies. The names are from all over the world and it is pretty unique and unusual list of names. Check it out at: www.babynamesandstuff.yahoogroups.ca
Congratulations on your new comer and I hop you find that right name.

No i think it is not feminine enough. I agree with the other posters that think it sounds like an appliance or a last name. I know that If my name was Emerson I would get a name change.

Emerson is more of a last name than a first name and if it is a first name it is a male name

Hey, I like "Emerson Carina". It's one of those, last-names-that-make-a-cool-first-name names. Like "Riley" or "Maddox". Very inventive!!
