farkas419 - Whoa!
The point of the question is to get your opinion, please do not jump to any conclusions. Thanks for at least answering the question, unlike 90% of the lame answers so far. I have no problem if someone doesn't believe the government was involved. I have a problem with those who waste our time with answers that deviate from the question. Thanks for your opinion and references. It is truly appreciated.

It's truly amazing when someone asks a legitimate question that they seek an answer to and want to get an idea of what the the rest of America (and the world) thinks, the answers they get can be so rude and simply lame. Out of 21 answers, only 9 or so gave some legitimate answer that actually addressed the question. That's less than 1/2. And we wonder why our country is heading in the direction that it is. People would rather bicker and cuss each other out than actually find solutions. If you don't like someone's question, don't bother answering it.

excellent questions..i specially like the last 2
1) YES
2) similar to the Oklahoma Bombings, days before people were doing "maintenance work" days before the attacks.
the head of security at the towers was GWB cousin and bomb sniffing dogs were pulled from the buildings, weeks before
3) I don't trust the american gov't. I think there are elements within it which are trying to destroy america. I feel disgust thiking about people like Bush
4) the proof is out there ..and people will continue to come forward. People just need to collectively summon up the courage to do something.
5) completely dismantling the US gov't and starting over from the beginning.

1) It's very likely. I can't be 100% sure though.
2) If they were demolished, it was at least done with the knowledge of the security company, which was either owned or run (I can't remember) by Marvin BUSH (George W.'s brother). So I don't think it's much of a stretch to say that our government COULD have done it. Again, I'm not sure.
3) I've been thinking about this a lot of the last year or so. If I knew for sure, I would be angry, saddened and terrified. Even without knowing for sure, I'm scared, because if it's true, we can't even depend on our government to not murder us!
4) A paper trail, a video, a recording, ANYTHING would be enough proof for me right now. We already have some very compelling circumstantial evidence. Now I just need one thing definite. I don't know what kind of action I, myself, would be able to take. I already do as much as I can by telling as many people who will listen. I tell them to watch videos (like Loose Change), visit websites, do some research, and then decide for themselves.
5) If it's proven that any person within our government had direct responsibility for any of the events that happened on September 11, in other words if that person was a part of the conspiracy to commit those murders, then they should get the death penalty. If they KNEW what was happening but didn't act on what they knew they should be punished in some lesser way.....unless their lives or their families were threatened, which is very likely considering the people they would be dealing with.
I'm not a liberal. I'm a very conservative Christian republican. (See my other answers if you don't believe me lol!) Whether Bush or Kerry won the last election doesn't matter.....they both would have behaved in whatever way the REAL government told them to. If Gore had been elected the first time (okay, he WAS, but the PTB (Powers That Be) couldn't have that so they fixed it), he would probably have been either bought or assassinated. They will have THEIR man in office one way or the other. I do think that between the two evils, I'd rather have a Republican than a Democrat. But it really doesn't matter what party they belong to anyway.
As far as some of these videos being baloney, I was open minded. I looked at websites claiming that Loose Change was garbage. This one website even had "proof." At one point someone said that while the makers of Loose Change said there were no wheels found from the plane at the Pentagon, there they were in the image right in front of them. Well.........if they'd listened just a few more seconds, the narrator of Loose Change said that those were spools of cable leftover from the recent renovations. There were several other things these "conspiracy theory debunking" websites said that were just not even accurate at all.
I personally remember that day and the next few days clearly. I remember hearing about explosions inside the buildings, the possibility that a missile hit the Pentagon, etc. I did wonder what was going on when, over the next few days, all these things were forgotten and smoothed over. I quickly accepted the government's stories though. Then I realized that something still didn't add up. I don't understand how people can be so blind.

1) Clearly a controlled demo. Silverstein even admitted that Bldg 7 wa demo'd on his consent.
2) Private contractors paid by NSA and CIA probably set up the demo's. It's of record that in the weeks preceding 9/11, there were a series of safety/fire drills in the towers that required everyone to leave the bldg's for awhile. Not to mention weekends when nobody was there.
3) They were indeed responsible, just like they were responsible for Pearl Harbor. They wanted an indefinite "war on terror", and to scare the people into feeling that they were under attack is the way to do it. I feel that the gov't in the USA is enemy # 1 of the people. I also feel somewhat helpless because the evil is so entrenched at every level of society.
4) What is lacking is not proof, but the acceptance of it by the people. The mind control is very thorough, as is evidenced by the answers here. There is every reason to believe the conspiracy, and only one to believe that "terrorists" are responsible, which is because the gov't said so.
5) The best action is for people to stop doing whatever the gov't tells them, like sheep, and insist on accountability. It's the acceptance of whatever CNN reports that the gov't says that is the problem. Right now, nobody is asking questions about the thing in England, yet everybody is dancing to the tune of changes in airport security, etc. We need to stop assuming altruism on the part of the government, and start showing some formidable skepticism to everything that comes out of the government. Then they will stop taking us for granted, and realize that they cannot do whatever they want to us.

was looking at these sites, and although their argument seems convincing, i think you should look at this video before you assume that the towers were brought down by controlled demolition, and also check out the links here below. the most debunking piece of evidence is that if you watch the videos closely from the right views, you can see the sections of both towers above the impact area falls first、 And they don’t fall straight down. They do fall into the building, think about that. 100s of thousands of tons falling and slamming into to lower section of the tower is enough not only to pancake the floors below it, but totally destroy all the inner supports, and any supports at the base of the building too. if it looks like freefall, it is. The impact of the 30 floors falling on 60 floors is a devastating impact, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNmJZUQD74s&NR
Here is a good picture that shows it couldn’t be controlled.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYOIQqBVLZM
Look at exactly 2:17, obvious
2:31 shows the tower fell on one side, not perfectly down.
2:35 shows the same on the north tower. Watch the direction the top falls and how it falls FIRST, and HARD on the rest of the building below it. Watch the antenna direction!
At 3:02 you can see the damage to surrounding buildings, what would cause WTC 7 to fall.
There is a lot to explain, but you get the picture, keep reseaching!

Sorry; I'm an engineer and am not easily fooled by nonsense.
First, some claim that the towers couldn't fall from aircraft damage because the fuel did not burn hot enough to melt the structure.
This is such garbage.
Fuel can burn at 3000°F in an engine compressor; it may not burn as hot in the open, but it did crash and many pieces were that hot & flying all over the place. But more importantly, the metal doesn't have to MELT to fail! The type of metal is not mentioned either, just "steel". Well what kind of steel is it? All alloys lose strength at a certain rate as the temperature rises; buckling occurs when the temperature gets too high. A couple of thousand degrees would almost certainly do it.
Why would I waste my time disproving wild assertions when I can't even stop laughing from the first items I see? So then I Googled the researchers and found they are not educated or qualified to testify about material strength; they have PHDs in philosophy, political "science"...nothing related to engineering.
Why would GWB want to do this? If even one credible person spills the beans the country goes into civil war or revolution. GWB wants to finish his term and go back to the ranch. He ain't no criminal genius mastermind.

1) yes
2) not enough information to know
3) It would worry me a lot more to think that the CIA and FBI are really so incompetent that they let 5 ragheads who could barely fly cessnas or speak english pull this off. We can do something about a few rogue people in the government (not that anyone is going to, but we could). There's not much you can do if the agencies that are supposed to protect you can't get their sh!t together.
4) To take action? Not sure what action you're talking about. I think the fact that the White House and Pentagon lied to the 9/11 Commission is enough to demand another investigation. One that does not include secrecy and deception. And one that is not conducted by a commission that was set up on Bush and Cheney's terms with people that they handpicked.
5) The people found responsible need to be tried and put to death. That's more than Bush is willing to do with Osama Bin Laden. He decided to abandon the hunt for him.
Seriously, conspiracy theories aside.....the fact that Bush did not hunt down and kill Osama Bin Laden should be enough to outrage every American. Why did he abandon the search for him in order to conentrate on Iraq? Why did the FBI remove him from the most wanted list?
For all the people who think Bin Laden is responsible - please answer those questions...and demand that your President answer you.
Kermit - you bring up a good point when you say, "We just don't seem to get who really did 9/11 do we...? We blamed Iraq for it..." and "Then we go after ourselves. We just can't believe somebody got us that bad." Maybe people just can't believe that George Bush did everything EXCEPT find and kill the person that he claims did this.....not only that - he blames him for all the terrorist plots since then, and uses him and his organization to instill fear in us on a daily basis.
Does common sense not tell you that he purposely keeps the threat of him around so he can control us with fear? I mean think about it...the comic book villain never dies. If he did...the story would end.

Look I don't like the current administration at all, and yes I believe there was more than 1 shooter at Dealey Plaza, but I don't believe any of this stuff.
We just don't seem to get who really did 9/11 do we...? We blamed Iraq for it, because it was convenient for us to get in there.
Then we go after ourselves. We just can't believe somebody got us that bad.
And just when are we going to go after Egypt and Saudi Arabia. That's where the 9/11 terrorists are from. And they must be laughing their butts off.

no thats all bull sh it. you ppl got to learn to trust your government or well end up like the USSR in '91. the structure of the WTC buildings were all made so that if 1 of them was hit by an aircraft, they would fall straight down. The contractor thought that the two largest tower were definitly vunerable to aircraft traffic, so he designed them to fall sraight down, instead of toppling over.

There is enough evidence out there to warrent an investigation for sure, Specially if you compare it to what it usually takes to convict someone. But it will never happen cause money talks and its about the only thing that does.
