It is the way we love things and our society can teach us not to trust anyone and to love only what we have.

Because the sharing is an imposition by our parents and we really don't have much choice in the matter. Also, we earn most of our stuff as adults, so it offends us to have to share at an age where we have authority.

because we are all taught to be hypocrites. i know that seems like a mean way to say it but it's true. we are told by adults to share be we see that they don't so when we become adults we don't share anymore

Our parents never bought us anything, because they knew we wouldn't share. Not nice!
Now: I never force my kids to share. I always show them through my own example that sharing is a good thing. When someone wants to get what belongs to my kids and they don't want to share, I say: Sorry...it's very special to him....and you see- his name is written on it. Maybe later he will share with you...if you are lucky. Good luck!"

Because if we tell kids to be greedy when they grow up they will share. We don't want that now do we?
