It honestly depends on what you're going to school for. To find out the best ranked schools using several different variables such as graduation and retention rates, faculty and financial resources, and the percentage of alumni donating money to their alma mater, the US News & World Report guide to America's Best Colleges is your best resource. I just read that the 06 edition will be availble on Monday. I had used this when deciding which college I wanted to attend, and this should help you out a lot.
