31 year old male, married almost 2 years masturbates on a regular basis.
My question is why?
Do you think his wife doesn't satisfy him?
Could it be because someone else turns him on that he can't have?
Don't men prefer the real thing to their hand?
Help me understand this. Thanks

I realize that he likes it....... I'm guessing it's because his girlfriend is making him hot, and he doesn't want the wife to know.......Or say "HER" name during sex with tthe wife.

I don't have a problem with him or myself masturbating....... I guess I just can't understand that "IF" a wife is available. Why he wouldn't want the real thing..... I would always choose the real over doing it myself. And I have never had a man that didn't satisfy me.

I AM ONLY LOOKING TO UNDERSTAND HIS "HOBBY" WE PLAY TOGETHER OFTEN, SO OF COURSE I AM JUST CURIOUS....... HE GAVE ALL THE REASONS THAT YOU ALL HAVE GIVEN..... BUT I ALSO KNOW THAT AT TIMES ITS BECAUSE THE ONE HE WANTS IS NOT AVAILABLE TO HIM WHEN HE NEEDS/WANTS HER.

i do it ever chance i get when i'm alone. its hard to explain, some times its just easier to pinchone off. deffinatley cleaner. i masturbated before i met my wife, and i will continue to do it the rest of my life. even men need alone time. my wife got mad after about a year of our marrige when she found out. so i unfortunatley need to hide it.
it has absolutley NOTHING to do with you women, we just do it. it feels good, its easy and fast.
be happy we are doing this alone, and not with someone else
or even offer to help, i would love it if my wife would pose erotically for me to look at while i did it.

I am not sure that anyone but a man can answer this correctly. I certainly would like to know too! I am 28yrs and my husband is 45yrs and I have lost count how many times I have caught or walked in on him working himself over and/or with porn! I have asked him the same question...why not come upstairs for the real thing? Some would say an orgasm through masturbation is stronger than intercourse? Some of it is laziness and some is they can not keep their hands off it! If you figure it out I would truly like to know!

Most males begin masturbating at the age of 12 and continue doing it even through out adult life--married/single.
Has nothing to do with with satisfying wife or not---personally doing it solo after 33 years of a happy marriage, 3 children, wish had guts to ask wife to do mutual masturbation..
No
Nothing will ever replace the love before, during and after sexual intercourse.
Females may not realize it, yet when asleep, their hand slips to their private area and actively stimulates where male doesn't. Women, show your men how to stimulate you and notice the difference in love making----it may even decrease his solo masturbation----won't hurt to try!! It will stimulate you both

It is nature for a man to masturbate as it is for women. Men just do it more often than girls. Yes, I prefer the real thing but sometimes the real thing it's not there when you need it. Maybe his wife doesn't want to have sex the way he wants it. Men get horny faster.

I masturbate at least once a day. My guy works nights and I need the release to get to sleep. It is normal to masturbate actually it is healthy. Sex and masturbation are so different sex involves feelings and emotion it is on a different level and the orgasm is way better. But masturbation is just a quick fix to hold you over until you can get the real deal. Relax lady it will be okay.

Its just a guy thing they are never satisfied with what they have I would have him at home masturbating then in the streets getting off with another woman and if it really bothers you ask if you can jack him off its not as bad as you think it could be fun excitement keeps a marriage strong it is very easy to get board with some one.

Quit trying to disect this! We all do lady. So do women. married or not. Anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or so unbelivably straightlaced that the Pope would look like Alistair Crowley in comparison.
We do it because it feels good. We do it when sex isn't always available. What? You want us nudging you every 30 minutes asking for alittle action. I assume that you need sleep too.
Besides...it's free and it feels good.

Maybe he's just obscenely horny.
His wife probably satisfies him just fine, but he probably has an extremely high sex drive. I can't answer the third question, but (speaking for myself, of course) the last question is very much a yes.
Some guys probably masturbate when their wife is on their period, because I don't know anyone who wants to get his "red wings".
Of course, that's just my opinion; I could be wrong.

It doesn't have anyhting to do with his wife. Married men masterbate for the reason that unmarrieds do....to get off. Men think about sex all the time, even more than women (if you can believe that). If I could easily masterbate l(like a guy can) I would do it daily (at least). While masterbating you don't have to worry about satisfying anyone but yourself.

It is perfectly normal for a person to masturbate on a daily basis and be in a relationship. I wouldn't get too worked up about that.
