I really wanted a son. When I found out I was having a daughter, I freaked out. I thought my husband would give her all of the attention he once gave me (silly, right). She wasn't even here and I was so jealous. I wanted to be the only girl in our family and I was weirded out by the prospect of breast feeding a baby girl. But, you know what? When she was born 6 months ago, I thought she was the most beautiful, sweetest baby ever born. I marvel at each of her little movements and sounds.
My husband loves me just as much as before, probably more now and I really love being a parent to my little girl. I wouldn't trade her for anything. Now we're thinking about having another child and I wouldn't mind having another girl. But, if it's a boy, that would be fine too.

Son because I am a guy and I rather take him to the hospital for a broken arm. It's simple. With women things just get more complicated.

I would want twins. One boy and one girl.
For the boy, I could understand him easier and give better advice for when he grows up. Experience is the best teacher, and as I have "been there and done that" it would make things so much easier to see things from his point of view. Also, my family is very big on carrying the family name. I would want a boy to pass along my family's name and legacy.
For a girl, I don't know...I've just always wanted a girl. Kind of a daddy's girl to share poems with, or watch sports, play with dolls, you know whatever, lol. I'm not above a tea party or three. The idea of having a little girl and watching her grow up, then give her away at a wedding at some point just seems extremely pleasing to me. =)

I would want one of each, but if I had to choose just one, I would have a slight preference for having a girl; all the better if she's a "daddy's girl". They're sweeter than boys--yes, even during their teen years--and, dare I add, at least as intelligent. Besides, I've never been all that much into sports.

I'm a girl, but I'd rather have a son. They are easier to deal with and they don't need stupid things like tampons or training bras. Boys would be more fun to teach and you can train them in kickboxing or karate.

I don't want a girl because they can be so b!tchy.
And I was never a girly girl and what if my daughter was? ew!
I also used to baby sit for 2 brothers, so I know how to handle boys. I would prefer boys.
ps- I missed you truthyness! Don't go away ever again! ha ha

Neither... I think I'd rather have 10 million dollars! No offence, but I think the world would be better off not having me as their genetic source, they'd be crippled for life... & I'm not just talking about phyisical features!

Now?! At this age?! Dang, I haven't recovered from having teenage grandkids yet!
Now, had you asked a few .. um...decades ago, I'd have to say I have one boy and one girl. The boy was easier to raise, but the girl was so cotton pickin' funny it would be hard to choose. (Visual: one five year old blonde in pigtails, jumping off her auntie's bed using her auntie's 40-FF brassiere for a parachute).
