you have a 3 row radiator, not a 3 core. so about 200 isnt bad cause you have to remember for ever pound of pressure applied to the cooling system it raises the boiling temp of water. and if you have a 16 psi cap on there it raises the boiling point to almost 260 degrees. if i were you i would take out the thermostat and add a restrictor instead. you dont need the thermo because your not worried about heat. restrictors can be bought at most parts houses and they have different sizes. or get a 160 degree thermo instead. everything else sounds good with your system

first the 12 months of the vehicle length of the radiator 2 ,4 center 2, 4 barrel carb or tbi tpi so on if its a inventory 350 2 center radiator in a older vehicle with lots of room less than the hood certain if not get a 4 center or alum radiator

Good answer Cristiano.

For a SMC 350, you have normal temps. You could take thermostat out all together, but then you will use a bit more fuel 'cause engine will take a lot longer to reach operating temp.

This problem may be as simple as an incorrect temperature reading at the gage.

Have you actualy tested the coolant temperature at the upper radiator hose?

You may need to replace temp. sensor, or gage.
