Wow! That's a lot to spend on your dog's birthday. I wish I had that kind of money. Anyway, some guys like to save money unless it's a big "splurge", which of course happens on ocassion. I know that dogs should have a special day and I don't object to that. The problem is that this is a little too much for a species that can only say one word and what kind of return you get from your pet? (Don't say that he's cute and all because we all know that). The next time you celebrate your pet's birthday, as well as any celebration, cut down on the expense and maybe someone will appreciate that you love your pet without spending a life savings worth of money.

YO VOODOO LADEEEEEEE
YOU iz a krazee lil gurl.
I looked at the other post and you had 31 messages over there.
HoW mAnY dO yOu NeEd?
The way you have it posted you spent $9.000 which is $9 no matter how many zeroes you put behind it.
If your fellow dumped you it wasn't for the measly $9 it was over something else. Maybe you spend so much time with your dog he felt ignored?
Anyway he's gone now and you can start fresh with a new guy. Better find one that loves dogs. Or next doggy birthday, pppfffftttttt he's gone!!!!!!

You have to see it from his point of view,"it's just a dog". The dog doesn't know the difference between an expensive party or a cheap party, he doesn't even know it's a party. Seriously though, who would complain if someone was buying them gifts, the difference is your boyfriend can appreciate them and say thank you, the dog can not. I'm sure you love your dog and all, but $9,000 can be spent on something more important than a birthday party.

Well, your boyfriend doesn't respect your love for nature and animals. You love you dog and since you can afford it, you spent the money. It IS just money after all, and if your boyfriend dumped you for you doing something you think (and 20 other people) is right to do, then you're better off without him. He'll come back if he loves you. I wouldn't contact him at all. And it looks like you wrote only 9 dollars. did you mean $9000.00? You have to admit that's a lot of money, but if it's yours, then it's okay for you to do anything you'd like with your money. If it's your boyfriends money, then you're totally in the wrong.

i really hope this is all a joke, because yeah it's nice to do something special for your dog, but stil, it's your PET!!! and as far as i know, there aren't a lot of people who celebrate their dogs' birthday by blowing $9,000 on it. did you spend $9,000 on your boyfriend? because if not, then you are sending the message that your dog deserves more than he does. while it's your call to do what you want with your money, i think that your boyfriend has an excellent case for saying that you care more about the dog than him (true or not, that's how it might look), which allows him to decide whether this is the kind of relationship he wants. you could tell him that you won't do this again, that it was a one-time thing, but only if it's true.

You are right dogs should have a B-day because they only have a little bit of time to live and that was good thing you did and that was good thing you brought a expensive gifts for your boyfriend and you tell him that you love him and say that dogs should have B-days to before thay die.

Well, moneys a relative thing...
If you spend 9,000 dollars on your dog's b-day but you have a lot of money and it doesn;t seem like a big deal, thats fine.
Personally, I think your bf was probably jealous that you spent a lot of money on your dog and he probably thought that you didn't care about him. Now, if the 9K was his, that's a differrent story. Assuming he makes 60,000 a year, which is around avergae, 9000 is a lot of money. It's like working two months to pay for a dogs bday. I dno how much he earns and its not my business but im sure theres a way to plan a bday for cheaper.
if it was ur money, well do whatever u want.
If he doesnt like ur dog, too bad for him

ARE YOU CRAZY!!!!!!! It is a dog, what does it know? Very stupid of you. He was so right. I never give a dog a birthday party. But do what ever you want you weirdo. If you have the money to WASTE on a DOG go form it. It will only be your life that you will ruin. No guy in their right mind would stay with a girt who will WASTE 9000 on a dog. It is CRAZY. Seek medical attention for what ever brain damage you have.

Did you rent some homeless people so that your dog could whizz on them?
I assume that you are spending your own money, so it is your right to spend it as you wish. But since you are asking our opinions, It seems like a complete waste. You could have used the money to do good, like giving a party at a nursing home or donating to a women's shelter.
Want your dog to feel special? Pat it on the head and give it a Milk Bone.

Wow thats the craziest thing I have ever heard...I would have dumped you too...No offence but thats kind of Crazy...I could see maybe 100.00 or something...but you went WAY overboard and he probably thinks your mentally unstable. He needs to find a girl that isn't so into her dogs. But its ok though...Cuz when you are 80 and single you will still have your dogs. Also spending that much makes you seem really really really materialistic. Cuz you think that love is shown...even to an Animal by how much you spend. thats really sad.
