Why are all the black people in stargate always gotta be an alian or the first person to get shot or something

you know why they are considered less important cameo's in movie scenes unless they are already hitting the big screen or hallie barry and she aint all black and takes her clothes off in almost every movie she does

Well, actually a whole heck of a lot of the SFs and other airmen on-base are black. As for "the first person to get shot" goes, actually one of the white guys, Daniel Jackson, gets folded, spindled, mutilated, zatted, shot, or killed more times than pretty much anyone.

To imply that there is racism going on with Stargate is an extremely narrow-minded and ridiculous attitude toward a SCIENCE FICTION show.

Addendum: Oh, and it should be noted that one of the four-star generals to whom the SGC must answer is General Vidrine... a black man.

I've never watched Stargate, but in 1968 NBC asked if Uhura on Star Trek couldn't kiss Spock instead of Kirk, for if she had to kiss a white man at least Spock wasn't human! Happily the director had more sense than that.

The stories don't revolve around earthlings outside of our little sg-1, in which Teal'c is a key member.
