Disagree.
Reading The Last Battle literally brought me to tears. C.S Lewis wrote his best work in that one.
(Horse and His Boy is #3 for me!)

No sorry, I know it sounds cliche` but I stand by the original The lion, the witch and the wardrobe. It was the first sci-fi book I ever read and I have such an affinity with it that I cannot let another book rise above it. It isn't that I don't know any others, I used to have the entire series as a kid, I even have about 8 or 9 of C.S Lewis's publications that not many other younger people have, one of those is a sci-fi paperback. The lion, the witch and the wardrobe marks a beginning, as the characters get older they lose their innocence, I liked the innocence.

Disagree. My favorite was The Magician's Nephew. Ithought The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was the most boring, and then The Horse and his Boy.

I have to disagree on this one----although I love the book. I think that the best book in the series is "Voyage of the Dawn Treader", "The Lion, the Witch, and the Waredrobe" is a close second, and "The Magician's Nephew" comes a close third. I love them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a good one, but my picks would have to be The Magician's Nephew and Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
If you enjoy the Chronicles, you might also like the Space Trilogy.

Disagree - I think The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is best and the one that tells about when Narnia was created is second best.

Disagree - I found The Horse and his Boy one of the slower-moving of Lewis' books (but still far better than most books out there)

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is so popular because it's the traditional entry point into the series, for one. For two, because it is a captivating story of redemption and truth.
But for me, I think my favorite was The Silver Chair.

"A Horse and His Boy" was good but I liked "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" better.
