magic isn't trying to be god.
if i'm trying to create and be in control of something is trying to be god, then pharmacists and chemists are god too.
we probably shouldn't own or breed pets either, cuz that's owning and controling something too.

Do you really know what magic is?
Magic is trying to be God. Why?
1. Its manipulation of what is real.
2. Its control over something.
3. You are trying to create things to make you something that you are not.
Magic is witch craft, and if you look at all the things that go with it, it is good at first, but then they live a life of demons, and curses.
If you do practice magic, I suggest you stop.

As this is not a serious question, you do not expect serious answers.
However, I will be the one to give you a good, solid, truthful answer.
There are some who are really proven to have psychokinetic powers or the ability to make an accurate, specific telling of events in the near future.
They are usually the ones who do not even know what they are capable of, as far as changing the enviorment around them. This is the part where it may get dangerous. If they ever learnt of their own
powers, they could be the ones to harness and control it at the misfortune of others.
In essentiality, there are no gods or goddesses
involved, merely sheer mindpower is what makes it all work. This is also no work of magic, although it may be referred to as such; it is purely science at work.
That being said, how would you like to meet one of them?

We live in the age of magic. A hundred years ago, personal worldwide instant communication was a pipe dream. A box that plays games AND can answer any question you have? Magical. Adjust the temerature in your house with the flip of a switch? Magic. Cure diseases? Magic. Our everyday lives are the magic of the past. Our magic will be boring to the people of the next century.

I frequently practice magic, and most of my efforts work once I have got the process down.
My favorites are David Copperfield, Lance Burton, Jay Sankey, Paul Harris, and Max Maven but there are a lot of people who might be considered 'gods' of magic.
Perhaps, however, you mean 'magik', the ability to make things happen outside of scientific means? I've never seen evidence of its existance.
