I also think the world fact book is cool too. It's got lots of information that may come in handy later.
If you need help studying geography check out Sheppard's software. It's free and its got tons of maps and quizzes.

My favorite geography sources are National Geographic and Smithsonian, both in most libraries. I have a CD of back issues of Nat Geog which often comes in handy, and might be worth getting if you could need more answers about the subject.
