Are you talking about the algae eating fish that looks like a catfish? If so, then yes, you can put other fish in the tank as they keep to themselves. I have one that cleans the tank for me and the other fish just leave him alone.

The larger the pleco gets the better chance of it eating your guppies. One full grown at about 18 inches will eat any little fish it can. How big is your tank that you got such a large fish for it?

A Pleco is a peaceful type fish. Very very large ones can get territorial and be aggressive to its own kind.

Yes, a plecostemus will eat a guppy if it happens to get a hold of it, but they don't aggressively seek them out. They can live with goldfish, but the conditions will have to favor the sucker, not the goldies (warm, well filtered, etc.)

Mine never did! They are cleaning fish, and they are usually the ones in the corner of the tank!!!! If another fish dies or something he might try to suck it up, so as soon as you notice a dead fish in the tank TAKE IT OUT IMMEDIATELY!!!!!
