Okay this is gonna sound weird, but in the spring I can go out near a field where pheasants are and do this tongue-clucking thing and the male pheasants start "trumpeting" like crazy. In my binocs, I can see them with their necks all stretched up- their "horns" flare up and their head and breast feathers turn crimsom red.
I told you it would sound weird.
