If the US Government enforced an outright fascist state and stripped you of all your freedoms, would you riot?

Or would you just all meekly do what your government wants you to do because at the root of it, the majority of Americans are easily brainwashed sheep who believe in their government totally, whether right or wrong?

That's how Hitler was able to do what he did.

So, would Americans have the balls to protest?

It's really only a hypothetical question that I can't answer the way you'd like.

In order for a Fascist state to exist, its government would have to gain full control and trust of the military and police agencies. This, simply wouldn't be possible.

Despite what you may believe or have heard, Americans generally have a sense of freedom that no other nationality can understand.

In the United States, military leaders, politicians, and other authorities are simple, ordinary people selected from among other ordinary people. In your your own word, Americans are NOT sheep. We're extremely independent.

Any attempt to suspend the Constitution by Fascist-leaning politicians would be quickly stifled by loyal government authorities.

Even military members are sworn to defend the Constitution and obey only LAWFUL orders. If the fascist-"President" demanded that his Generals and troops follow his unconstitutional orders, the vast majority of them would refuse to follow those orders.

It's similar to the reasons why the fascist government in Italy was so weak and eventually failed during WWII.

No, I would not riot, or even peaceably protest. Tienamen Square is for rioters and Protestors. I would very quietly and innocuously pack my guns and ammunition in the car with my tent and wife and dogs, and join a LOT of others just like me in the mountains of Appalachia. When we got some communication working, we would take back our free state! That is what it means: A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state...

That will NOT happen in this country. If it were possible, FDR would have been a dictator as would Lyndon Johnson. However, they were prevented from being dictatorial because of that great document known as the Constitution of the United States. There are three branches of government with a system of checks and balances in place. Remember??

I would RIOT!! I would also be dissapointed that our morals of liberty and justice could be thrown away by the very people who promised to uphold them. Of course Americans would riot because those ideas of freedom have been passed down from generation to generation and would never leave our hearts and souls.

If the Gov't took a slow approach ("boiling the frog"), Americans would go along peacefully. Actually, they have been ever since the New Deal.

I think a lot of people would, or should I say will protest once the takeover comes. I'm sure those who do will be swiftly dealt with too. I understand they're building secret concentration camps, at least two in every state. I myself would rather die than spend life in tortured exile.
