When a stranger of the opposite sex leans into you? They don't touch you or anything but just lean on in. Could it be sexual, friendly, hearing loss or anything. What do you folks think?

I think...there's a 80% probability that was sexual...and the other 20 % hearing loss

That is what pickup artists call an IOI(indication of interest). It indicates that they are interested in you and seek your approval. This is subconscious It means they like you either sexually or friendily(not a word). To find out which it is, you need to escalate the flirtation and see what happens. If they lean in too early on, these are usually not the kind of guys you would be interested in, because it is a clingy type of behavior. Girls like to play hard to get. If they are good looking, you may make exceptions.

on a subconscious level leaning in means the person is really interested in what you have to say. Does not necessarily have to be sexual but could be.

This is an old, tired, sales trick. They are attempting to elicit a response without any overt action on their part. You are dealing with a sophisticated manipulator. There is nothing friendly about it; this is the deliberate act of a predator, and you can tell them that I said so.

They lean in to see if you will respond. Some are in it for cheap thrills. If I lean in like that I am doing so with the anticipation she will lean towards me, kiss me or hug me.

It could be hearing loss, but probably it means that they're attracted to you, consciously or subconsciously.
