i'm planning on going to an amusement park soon so i was wondering what amount of time should pass before the food is disgested in the intestines & it's deemed safe to ride another rollercoaster without puking/getting sick/acid reflux/heartburn,etc? is there a non-puke pill? why do some people puke and not others? are there certain foods that digest faster? if so,name the foods/drinks that would be sold at an amusement park that would be the ideal choice? answer only if you have health-related tips, experienced rollercoasters/visited amusement/themeparks where there are numerous adrenaline rushing rollercoasters to give advice on what to expect/when it's the right time to eat while there.thanks:)

should i wear a hat to shield against others that puke or a random flying shoe that might knock me unconscious or give me a severe bruise to my skull?

what types of hats would you recommend?

i meant wearing a hat when i'm walking near rollercoasters and if someone pukes,it'll splatter on pedestrians below.

Whenever I go to Great Adventures, I eat a small breakfast in the morning so I don't get hungry while waiting. Then I go on a lot of roller coasters, and at noon or midafternoon, my friends and I go to eat food (enough to make us super full) then we go on simple rides that don't make us puke. Teacups are fun if you have 5 people sitting there and spinning the thing to make it a super fast teacup unlike everything else. Log Flume is nice to pass by time and arcades and such. About an hour after we eat and our stomach feels settled, then we go on the rides.

Acid reflux and heartburn only appear while you're eating, not after. Getting sick enough to puke is if you're doing enough stomach churning to force you to throw up. You can go on rollercoasters without getting sick as long as they're not too loopy. Some people puke because they just have weaker stomachs. To digest food faster you might want to drink pepsi while you're eating.

So eat a small breakfast, go on them rollercoasters, eat a heavy lunch, rest an hour or two, then go back on the rollercoasters!

I don't wait, actually. I get motion sickness pills.. they work AWESOME. You know that feeling when your stomach drops? You don't even get that the pill works so good. No dizziness, nausea, nothing. I can't feel a thing. I've used them the last 4 times I went to amusement parks, they work REALLY good.

Also, you can't really wear hats on rides.. it'll come off. You don't have to worry about all that puke and shoes hitting you.. lol

You can't take food in the park. What you can do though, is leave it in your car. You can get your hand stamped before you leave, go eat, and then reenter the park. Food and drink in the parks are expensive. What I recommend is buying a sovineer (however you spell that) cup if they have them, and get refills of water. The cups are around $7, and water of course is free.

Cereal, fruit and toast should be OK. Just let the food digest for 1 1/2 to 2 hours before getting on the roller coaster. If you are prone to motion sickness, you could take Dramamine to control it before going to six flags. You can buy this over the counter at most drug stores and supermarkets. Just follow the package directions. If you can't get the Dramamine, then keep it a light breakfast, because for people who are sensitive to motion, it's best to eat a bigger meal after you're done riding and your stomach is calmer.

lol, I don't usually worry about eating before riding, but that could just be me. In fact, if there's any line, I'll usually eat in line to save time to ride as much as possible. I like sodas or water and other filling food like chicken or burgers.

It'll depend on you though. If you're comfortable riding coasters, you can probably ride right away, but if not, you might wait like 20 min for the food to digest.

As for other food, you can usually picnic around the park, etc. Most people either tailgate, or have coolers in their trunk as you can exit and reenter most parks.

Then, we went on a twirly one. After, barfed like it was Niagra Falls. it was disgusting. if i was u, wait a half hour if u want to throw up like my bff.

I am Edna.. and after I devour roasted potatoes in the shape of shortened sticks with a meat that is covered in spice, or as you mortals nameth it 'chilli cheese fries' I ride the giant coaster that rolls and I show those anti-roleplaying people why big women should never sit in the back... ;)
