They can't get along because no one is tolerant of any beliefs other than their own. The same goes with different religions. It makes me exhausted and disgusted.

That's a great question. The basic difference is that republicans believe that the government should play a minor role in the day to day lives of the general public. Government should allow the hard working people of this country to keep as much of the money they earn as possible. This allows the people to spend money on goods and services which in turn creates jobs in the goods and service areas. Democrats basically believe that the large corporations and rich business people will take advantage of the working class at every turn. The rich and wealthy should be taxed more than the working people. This puts more money in the pockets of the workers and takes excess from the super wealthy who don't need it anyway. They also believe that government should play a larger part in the day to day lives of the people. Very poor people need a "safety net" so to speak. If they can't find work, the government should help. This appears in our society as social programs that are funded buy taxes. Can you see the basic tensions that exist now? The problem is that they are both right!

Republicans, and Democrats cannot seem to get along, because they refuse to cooperate with each other. Instead of putting minor differences aside for the good of the people they rather argue even more radical takes to the opposing side until they divide a nation all together, thus leaving us venerable. Also a certain party (which one I will not say since I'm being unbias) follows the interest of rich people, because all they believe is that money is power, basically forgetting the other 90% of the population. And the other party forgers the 90% of people they are supposedly trying to help by always arguing with the Republicans to get the conservatives to give up their money. I as everyone knows that both political groups have flaws but we fail to acknowledge those flaws of our own political groups to the public but we can say it endlessly in the privacy of our homes.

Republicans and Democrats used to get along. They shared the same core values of loving God first, then family, then country. They were able to argue about politics all day, but when it was over they didn't hate eachother because they still shared those same values. The Democratic party that still supports that is able to argue with the right and not hate at the end of the day. The problem is the hardcore left that has sacrificed they're true American values for a ignorant life of hedenism.

The same reason oil doesn't mix with water.
Republicans like the French more than they like Democrats.

Two very different points of view, complete opposites if you will, e.g. you know, like the difference between right and wrong.

I, for one, love spending "time" with the wives of Republicans.
They are freaks when I get them alone and then the clothes fly off up in my flat.

As a great liberal thinker once said:

"The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness."
