It works if you put it on a cotton ball and wipe your face with it, but using it in excess can cause drying of the skin. I recommend using a salicylic acid face wash instead...it's actually an acne medication. You can get a bottle of it at any store for under 4 bucks. Read the ingredients because most acne products use it.

Don't use alcohol ,it will dry out your face which is a problem because your skin will produce more oil, which makes acne production increase too. Use regular soap and water and get an oil-free moisturizer and apply it to your face.

The trick is to no irritate your skin some products are to strong and provide more acne. Try using neutrogena or any other product but don't irritate or wash to hard.

I have been told that because straight rubbing alcohol is so strong and so drying, one's skin will often overcompensate and produce more oil.

i don t know alcohol in is good against bakteria (but isopropyl?)
a sulfur mixture is also good for your skin. ask a doc.
sulfur is poisonous!
