Good purposes yes...but not for the world.
May be for itself, may be for Israel, but not to Arabs , Muslims, China, North Korea................................................................

Depends. Our government... not so much since about the 1800s.
Our military... while most of the soldiers mean well, some of the brass do not- seeking rank promotion above all else.
Most businesses... depends on the business and the company's mission objectives.
Non-profits... more than likely.
General civilian population... probably, though they're naive and don't have a clue as to what's going on beyond their locality, or the major national headlines.

Yes, other countries are buying American products and the Americans are selling theirs which include American Democracy, American Freedom, American Freedom Fries (though they restored french fries), Fast Food Chains, Weapons of Precise Destruction (WMD are not for sale), tacky Hollywood movies, etc.
