To quote Ernest Rutherford,
"All science is either physics or stamp collecting".
Physics deals with how the universe works on the most basic level, unlike sciences like chemistry which concerns itself with things like atoms and such.

Adding to what everyone else says, every scientific field has a branch devoted to studying the physics of that field (biophysics, physical chemistry, geophysics, medical physics, astrophysics, etc). You don't have it going the other way around because physics is dealing with the fundamental questions. All the other sciences are, in some sense, just applied physics.

it would want to be seen a undemanding technological awareness because all different sciences derive from it. Chemistry relies upon on recognize-how the type of atoms and how they have interaction (physics) and biology is depending upon chemistry. Physics is seen basic for that reason.

because everything involves physics. The act of me typing these letters on my keyboard involves the specific physics of the motion of my fingers. Almost anything can be looked at from a physics point of view.

It isn't. Mathematics is.
Every Physicist I've ever known (and I have known quite a few) was a good person who would very probably have made a wonderful mathematician if they hadn't been distracted and sidetracked by 'reality'
